An example of a simple bread and butter A staple combo that is relatively simple and effective. confirm which works off many stray hits.

Using the default combo for Ky in big crowds will often fail due to ~6X getting caught on enemy servants or ghosts, so using this has a higher consistency in big battles.

2Y > Modern Cancel > F8X > Delay > 5X > ~2X
Ky only has 1 hit on his DP 2Y so it's a smart idea to Modern Cancel it on hit or block. On hit Ky can use this route to tack on some extra damage. This grounded route will give you either a reset as you can hit them in the back as they land if they tech wrong, and if they tech right you should still have advantage to pressure.

You can change your route after F8X to do an air combo instead with Jump Cancel > j.5X > j.8X. Getting off the ground is good for avoiding attacks from nearby enemy servants.

Ky can use an MC to combo off almost any hit he lands. In this example we will be converting off of a 6X Starter.

Stun Edge can be Modern Canceled which gives you a lot of time to follow up with 5X, or to move closer (done here with Lock-On Dash) and use 2X or 4X instead. Both of these will lead into one of Ky's BnBs. However, it's sometimes most consistent to go directly into 5X after MCing.

If you have trouble with the 2X > 5X link then you can just do 5X instead.

An extension of Ky's BnB to deal higher amounts of damage. 4X will do more damage than 5X but hits less consistently. Timing on 4/6Y is quite strict and takes practice to pull off consistently, so it might be safer to simply go into the meterless BnB if the extra damage isn't needed.

You can let the final ~8X follow through with its second hit and omit the 2Y for 13 less damage, which may be useful for preserving tension.


Servant Clear

Servant Clear is not Ky's strong suit but he needs to do it anyways from time to time. Unless they are Kappas mid-counter.

◆ 4X ,8X(both hits),step cancel, repeat works alright on Basic Servants
◆ Charged Stun Edge is going to be needed for larger groups. 4/6Y Holy Brand works until you can afford better.
◆ If facing a Elite Armored Servant then use F8X,step cancel, repeat since you don't have to worry about knockdown.
◆ If affordable, items play a part in what Ky can do against large groups during late game. Bombs and Anti-rods are good examples.
