GGST: | Happy Chaos |
Happy Chaos has two resources that limit his ability to fire his gun. The first resource is represented by the bar located at the bottom and is called concentration. Concentration drains when Chaos has the gun out, and will recover passively when the gun is stowed. Letting the concentration bar fully empty will penalize you, locking you out of accessing the the gun until it fully recovers again. Concentration drain can be both lowered and the bar replinished by using Focus (214P) or Super Focus (214214P).
The second resource is ammo, represented by the icons directly above the concentration bar holding a an amount between one and six bullets. Bullets are much more easily managed than concentration as reloading (22P) is incredibly quick and can be snuck into many sequences, and Deux ex Machina (632146S) our damaging super fully reloads all six bullets.- 2KError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Fast low attack with low profile and good reach, very useful in neutral.
- 2SError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Mid-range poke. Good at catching opponents walking back and checking approaches.
- 2PError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Fastest normal (tied with 2P) for mashing point-blank.
- c.SError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Pressure starter and best combo starter. Plus on block with a variety of useful Gatling The special category of cancels that describe how each character can cancel normals into other normals and specials.s and Cancels.
- 22PError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Reloads one to six bullets, can be cancelled out of anytime after the first bullet.
- 236SError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Pulls the gun out, doing so is plus on block and heavy counter hits.
- 214SError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Steady Aim Stance, immobilize yourself temporarily for greater gun damage, accuracy, and vertical launch.
- 214PError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Focus for a short time refilling some concentration and reducing concentration drain for a short period. Only use when it is safe, such as after a Hard Knockdown A knockdown that forces the character into a prolonged knockdown state. After a hard knockdown, teching is disabled briefly, allowing the player who is on the offensive more time to set up a meaty, a mix-up, etc..
- 5PError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Very fast but no upper body invincibility.
- 6PError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Standard 6P with upper body invincibility.
- 6SError: Table MoveData_January not found.- Reaches far and surprisingly high, but shouldn't be your first choice as an anti-air.
Happy Chaos combos are done with both of your resources in mind, as running out of bullets or concentration will negatively impact you. Thus combos are usually routed to recover whichever resource you need more urgently, or is ended with an opportunity that allows you to recover that resource.
This can always be confirmed into from any range on any poke given sufficient resources.
Wallslumps the opponent if wall isn't broken. This allows for you to both Focus and Reload 3 Bullets before doing a meaty Hitting an opponent to cover the moment as they lose invincibility. The most common one is performing an attack early on okizeme to gain frame advantage and bait reversals. c.S.
Sample combos:
c.S > 6K > H + 66 > ...
5K ~ 66 (Dash Cancel) + H > c.S > 6K > H + 66 > ...
2K > H + 66 > c.S > 6K > H + 66 > ...
66 > H ~ H > c.S > 6K > H + 66 > ...
Happy Chaos' has strong round starts dues to his combination of fast, long-reaching normals. and his ability to back off safely and apply curse which often requires risky hard callouts to punish. Happy Chaos starts each round with full resources so a roundstart Counter-Hit can quickly put an opponent in a precarious situation.

Spending meter as someone new to Happy Chaos is very easy. You have access to two different 50% meter supers that can refill one of either of your resources, use this to cover holes in your resource management.
214214P Super Focus is very Plus When you are able to freely act, but your opponent cannot (usually because they are still trapped in block stun from your attack). Being plus (or "positive") in a fighting game is quite strong; it means you always have a headstart on your next attack, even if it's only by a very slim margin. when cancelled into from the higher level gatling or a steady aim shot. It fully restores the concentration bar and grants a longer lasting concentration buff than normal Focus. Use it to continue pressure when focus is low or empty.
632146S should be used to end combos that do not wallslump and to break the wall. Getting hit after the start-up of the move still allows you to fully reload ammo so using it to panic reload ammo can work too.Happy Chaos is a very complex character with a lot of tech, so it has been spread across a few pages to not be too overwhelming.
