Notation

This page uses Numpad Notation, meaning that moves like for example 236 + L, 623 + M or 6 + H will be written as 236L, 623M and 6H respectively ("X" means "any button"). It is recommended that you familiarize yourself with Numpad Notation before reading further.

Specials

Specials
  • 236L is the main confirm after hitting opponents with your long range pokes. 236H is your main midscreen combo extender, usually from autocombo.
  • 214H is used as a combo extender and safe blockstring ender.
  • 22X (Geegee) is a vital part of Ferry's mixups as it allows her to combo after hitting opponent's which low/high hitting moves or throws.
    • 22X's startup can be delayed by holding any normal including the skill-button.
    • Recommended to hold the skill-button to have your normals free for pressure/mixup.
  • All versions of 623X can be used as anti-airs, however, only 623H is air unblockable. 623M is useful as a combo ender, 623L has the fastest startup. 623U serves as one of Ferry's main reversals.

Neutral

  • Ferry aims to control space by using her long reaching buttons (f.M, 2M, f.H, 2U, f.L).
  • Soft knockdowns from landing 236L~X can be used to set Geegee with 22L or 22M.
  • Opponents trying to jump in on her are best intercepted with 623X.
    • c.M can also work but takes practice/experience.

Pressure

Setplay

Setplay
  • After a hard knockdown in the corner (achieved from 2U, throws, U-Skills or Raging Strikes), Ferry can set 22H to go for a mixup with 2L/j.L.

Combos

Far Midscreen

Far Midscreen

f.L/f.M/f.H/2M > 236L~X
After hitting one of your far range buttons, you'll usually only be able to combo into 236L~X.

Midscreen Combos

Midscreen

c.XXX > 214L/214H/236L~X
This is your most basic conversion from autocombo.

  • c.XXX > 236H~4H, c.LLL > 623M is your midscreen BnB.
  • Harder to perform because of the 236H~4H, c.LLL link but also more rewarding.

Corner BnB

Corner BnB

c.XXX > 214H, c.MMM > 623M/623H
Your meterless corner BnB off of autocombo. Once you get comfortable with it you can try practicing to link into c.HHH instead of c.MMM which deals more damage but is harder to pull off.
