General Info

Guilty Gear's titular main protagonist, Sol Badguy. Sol's gameplay has always been designed to be easy to grasp with plenty to master, with a tools changing wildly between game to game but still retaining the playstyle of an aggressive, anime version of a shoto Short for "Shotokan" A character archetype defined by being similar in some way to Ryu from Street Fighter. Shotos usually have a horizontal fireball, an invulnerable reversal, and a forward moving special move. character. In the story, he was a scientist originally named Frederick Bulsara before being turned into gear by That Man, and spends the rest of his life as a bounty hunter seeking revenge, butting heads with  Ky Kiske, and mentoring  Sin Kiske.

As of Guilty Gear -Strive-, Sol has been stripped of his powers as a gear and retired to a simple life as Frederick again with his new partner,  Jack-O.
