Combo Theory

Elizabeth's combo theory depends on a lot of factors : how much meter you have, how far away are you from the corner, how many 1HSM stack do you have, ...So it's very difficult to pin down her combo theory when there are so many options. To keep things simple, her theory will be split into 2 major sections : unawakened and awakened.

Unawakened

Elizabeth's most common launcher in unawakening is her auto-combo (5AAA) followed up by D Magarudyne (236D) mid-screen or B Maziodyne (236B) in the corner. She can also use SB Magarudyne (236C+D) if 25 meter is available. If Elizabeth has a 1HSM stack available, she can deal great damage using 5C to launch.
After launching the opponent, filler such as D Magarudyne (if not used before), 5BBB > sjc > jD or 2B > jB > jA > jC can increase the damage dealt whilst keeping multiple enders possible. If 1HSM stack is available, Elizabeth can get great corner carry using 5C > IAD > jB > jC > 2A.
Elizabeth has a few enders possible : B Mabufudyne (214B) after auto-combo is one of her best enders. Tick throw setups due to ice forcing the opponent to stand and high/low mixup if they decide to break out of the ice are the most common options after. She can also end her combos in safe-fall using jC. In the corner, ending combos with B Maziodyne (236B) gives Elizabeth a lot of plus frames, enough to use 2D for poison damage, [2C] oki to get a 1HSM stack or even a safe jump.

Awakened

In awakening, Elizabeth's damage output goes even higher thanks to better specials. To launch the opponent, she can now use A Mabufudyne (214A) after sweep or 5C. SB Magarudyne (236C+D) becomes even better, as Elizabeth can combo into 2D after it.
Elizabeth has access to new filler options in awakening. SB Maziodyne (236A+B) becomes a solid option for corner carry. Mudo (236236D) also becomes an option for great damage and corner carry.
In awakening, Elizabeth doesn't get access to better enders. However, she gets new oki options thanks to B Maziodyne (236B).
To maximize Elizabeth's damage output in awakening, this move order should be followed (if possible): SB Maziodyne (236A+B), then Magarudyne (236D/236C+D) and finally SB Bufudyne (214A+B).

Basic Combos

Beginner.png Basic combos are simple combos with the fewest requirements and conditions possible. They:
  • Work against every, or almost every, character in the game
  • Can be performed from most positions in the play area
  • Require few adjustments, and if any are required they are simple

Elizabeth's main meterless mid-screen combo. Simple extention after auto combo using Magarudyne. Hold 9 then 2 to land the 5B afterwards. Gives you a 1HSM stack. The most common option after 2C is 214D to bring the opponent back to you.

Awakening BnBUsing awakening to get extra damage and better oki
Very Easy

5AAA > 214B, 2D, 66 > 5B > sweep > 214A, 236D, 5B > 2B > djc > jB > j2B > jC
2951 damage + poison.

Using awakened 214B, Elizabeth can set up 2D, which applies poison on hit. Omitting the filler after 236D allows to set up for a safe jump A very well-timed jump attack on a character who is rising from a knockdown. Your goal is to attack extremely close to when you land so that, if the character performs an invincible reversal attack, you will land and be able to block. The opponent is then forced to block your jumping attack, since reversaling doesn't work, which will give you some nice pressure and hopefully an opening., or oki using awakened 236B.

Corner BnBLeads into a safe fall, applies fear

The opponent is then forced to block your jumping attack, since reversaling doesn't work, which will give you some nice pressure and hopefully an opening., at the cost of less damage.

Using 236236D minimum damage of 2000, Elizabeth can achieve great damage with relatively low meter midscreen. This combo only works in awakening, but using 236236A or 236236A+B before 214A+B allows you to enter awakening and continue the combo. 236236D will never kill the opponent unless there is only 10 seconds left, so use jC or jD if they have a pixel of health left. If not, 236B oki is recommended, but resets using 2B are possible. Video
