Arakune is a minor antagonist of BlazBlue with a playstyle unlike any other. His Drive, Crimson
GuardMidStartup17Recovery33Advantage-34, can fill Curse Meter through various means. When the gauge is full, the opponent enters Curse Mode, and bugs can be summoned that can vastly increase his damage, mixup, and pressure.
In the story, Arakune was formally a scientist of Sector Seven named Lotte Carmine, who who fell into the Boundary and turned into a monster made of Seithr and distorted speech. He hates 
Kokonoe with a passion and has some ties with 
Litchi Faye Ling.
