Jack-O

Overview | Frame Data | Matchups | Strategy | Reverse Matchup Return to Top

Notable Interactions

  • Rekka blockstrings do good damage to minion houses, and 2366HS is an excellent get-in tool to prevent Jack-O from setting houses down safely.

Defense

  • Placeholder

Neutral

  • When Jack-O picks up a house, use 2366HS to close the gap; you'll go under the house if she tries to throw it, so it's remarkably safe.
  • S Boom clears minions and their houses rather well due to its decent damage, size, and multi-hit nature. Bait Jack-O into using Aegis with S Boom, then once it's on cool-down you're free to use H Boom YRC to clear the screen.

Offense

  • Zest/2D is slow to activate, making it possible to OS a backturn parry against it point blank.

Kum Haehyun

Difficult

A tragic matchup. Kum's excellent range on her normals and ability to reject backturn pressure for 50 meter make getting in difficult and staying in even moreso.

  • Brynhildr okizeme becomes functionally impossible once Haehyun has 50 meter, thanks to her 0-frame post-flash 236236H.
  • Loopable tuner ball oki is difficult for Leo to escape due to the active frames of the orb outlasting Eisen Sturm's invuln.

Overview | Frame Data | Matchups | Strategy | Reverse Matchup Return to Top

Notable Interactions

  • In neutral, whiffing bt.D will result in getting counter hit by 6H for half your life bar.
  • When performing Brynhildr oki, Enlightened 3000 Palm Strike (clap super) becomes a get-out-of-jail free card for Haehyun. It's invuln on startup and strikes the frame that she releases H, so in conjunction with your inability to block during backturn she can react to what you're doing and delay it if you parried or let it rip if you didn't. Lose-lose situation. Learn your front-turn pressure.
  • Ending a combo with Siegesparade will result in the above lose-lose situation if Haehyun has 50 meter, so it's better to let the combo drop and make her come to the ground.
  • Waking up with [2]8H will get you hit by the orb. If you're not confident in the Haehyun's ability to convert from a weird hit, it can be worth it. If they are, though, sometimes you've just gotta hold it.

Defense

  • H Eisen Sturm is generally ill-advised on knockdown; the ball WILL hit you, and you WILL be put in the same situation with less health if the opposing Haehyun is ready to convert.

Neutral

  • Be extremely judicious with entering Backturn in neutral. You can't block, so Haehyun is liable to 6H you out of it, if you whiff a pre-emptive parry then that 6H is going to be a counter hit.
  • You have 632146H to potentially blow through bad Tuner ball calls. Just be careful with it.

Offense

  • Backturn pressure is only possible before Haehyun reaches 50 meter. Make every hit count.
