Projectiles and Super Freeze
Projectiles in XRD have a strange property: they are unaffected by super freeze! This allows projectiles to hit opponents during the super freeze, and if the opponent wasn't blocking beforehand, they will get hit!
- Let's look at a simple example with Ky
- Ky performs Charged Stun Edge (236D)
- Charged Stun Edge travels toward opponent
- Ky performs Sacred Edge (236236P)
- Charged Stun Edge will move forward during Sacred Edge's super freeze and hit the opponent.
- If the opponent was not blocking before the super freeze, then they will get hit!
This can be useful to force the opponent to block attacks, for example, Venom can launch a set of balls, then perform Dark Angel (2363214S) and it will be much more difficult for the opponent to avoid it!
