Overview

[A] Main - Beam Machine Gun

As already seen, the tracking of the shots are considered about average, but it suffers from some performance issues. The angle-of-fire is quite narrow, and the damage and proration are not great, so this really isn't a prime damage source for Sandrock. Furthermore, its low Down value requires you to fire more than your max rapid fire amount of bullets (17 compared to the 10 you rapid fire at a time), so its vital that you always have that in mind.

That being said though, the ability to cancel into both Subs and AC as well will help your Down performance when using it. This isn't to completely say though that you should just freely scatter it around the battlefield like you would with Blue Destiny 1 - the lengthy 7s reload time means ammo management is quite important.

One interesting point is that when your ammo is empty, turnaround shooting will actually result in a freefall.

[CSb] - Zero System

At one point late in the TV series Heero installed the Zero System in Sandrock Kai which Quatre quickly had him remove. And so, this tool is carried over from and functions exactly like TV Wing Zero's now infamous Zero System.

You can of course use it at any time, but because of the 1 use/deployment limitation it's most recommended that you use it when:

  1. You have EX and/or OD active in order to safely approach for powerful melee combo damage
  2. Your enemy is unable to use their EX, OD, or timed power-up.

Remember to not neglect the blessing of Rashid's sheld priority to allow you to safely activate.

[AB] Sub - Maganacs Corps Assists

The Maganacs Crops are split between two different suits, sharing ammo and being able to cancel into one another. Because of Sandrock's weak performance in its other two ranged tools, good utilization of Sub is extremely important for increasing your battlefield gains.

  • 5Sub: Rashid

Rashid-ki, engo wo!

Rashid appears and fires 3 BR shots at the target.

The shot spacing is wide and the tracking so-so, but because a full hit forces Down and Sandrock has no other viable landing-punishing tools, Rashid is extremely important.

Furthermore, he has shield priority, and so defensively the long firing time actually works in your favor.

  • Directional-Sub: Auda

Auda-ki, toppakou wo!

Auda rushes the target and attacks with his large left arm's claw, causing a Strong Stun effect.

His travel speed is slow and the tracking again average. His startup on the other hand is quite fast, and he has a wide hitbox, so in addition with his overwriting strong stun he's a very powerful close-range armament. Again, because Sandrock's MG struggles to stagger enemies, making good use of Auda is paramount for securing your approaches and stopping enemies movements.

[AC] Special Shot - Heat Shotel Throw

Sandrock throws both heat shotels at the enemy for a Strong Stagger effect.

The attack is classified as a "boomerang armament", but it doesn't have a return path, nor does it have the near-immediate reload. It does though have considerably longer reach, going basically to the end of Sandrock's red lock before disappearing. It carries prior movement momentum, even when canceled into.

The tracking though is iffy, so its best used at either mid-range or even more successfully at closer ranges when finalizing your approaches.

Although the reload is longer than normal boomerang armaments, it's still shorter than both Sandrock's Main and Sub, so you will want to make frequent use of this tool.
