General Tactics

  • During Footsies, 5D is a strong poke option but is punishable by most micro-dashed 5B's due to it extending Terumi's hurtbox.
  • Stuttering micro-dashed 5B's and micro-dashing 2A's are very strong pressure tools for Terumi.
  • Terumi's grabs and command grab are relatively fast and so tick grabbing is essential in his pressure game. Use sparingly to avoid predictability.
  • JD and J2D, while being relatively slow, have massive hitboxes that can be used for aerial approach if used correctly. JB is also a good cross-up on the second hit.
  • 6C is can be strong if you manage to get a hard read on your opponent. Do not use unless you are absolutely confident in your ability to read, as 6C on whiff and on block will be punished for 3.2k upwards.

  • 2A*3 → (microdash) → 2A/2B
  • 5B → 5C → 5D → 6C → RC 2nd hit → (microdash) → 2A/2B/214C
